We have had exceptional success with replicating and replacing damaged panes from small cupboard door inserts to full size entrance doors.
The process is however more complicated than creating a new artwork from scratch. Each detail of the original needs to be considered and captured as closely as possible to the original. This is especially important where the new artwork is to be placed alongside existing artwork. Any changes or deviations are far more likely to be noticeable in this situation where they are far less so without any comparison.
- For frosted or sandblasted glass, ideally we will require the original damaged pane of glass, or as many intact pieces as possible. Even better than this is access to another undamaged pane in order to document the existing design and create the replication. On occasion where it is not possible to access either existing or damaged panes, we have also managed to successfully replicate designs from good pictures of other intact panes. This is very risky and so only advised if you live far from PE making it un-feasible to come to site.
- In the case of Stained Glass repair or replication, there are a number of factors that affect the liklyhood of a successful replication. These include the extent of the damage, available pictures of the artwork before damage, availability of replacment glass and the list goes on. Please do discuss your needs with us and we will offer the best solution we can.
Depending on the project, it may also be worth considering replacement of all the glass panes to bring a fresh new look that perhaps modernizes the installation or adds a unique “YOU” touch to the space.
We endeavor to provide a product and service that is never considered EXPENSIVE!
“I’ve always heard that Hermès is very costly. It’s not expensive, it’s costly. The cost is the actual price of making an object properly with the required level of attention so that you have an object of quality. Expensive is a product which is not delivering what it’s supposed to deliver, but you’ve paid quite a large amount of money for it, and then it betrays you—that’s expensive.” (Pierre-Alexis Dumas, the artistic director of Hermès and a member of the family that owns the luxury house)
The fact is that our product lines require a large amount of careful hands-on work along with creativity and a close attention to the fine details. Our options do not fall into every budget but we endeavour to add value to the space of everyone who chooses to invest in our quality products.
We do all we can to price our products in a fair, responsible and feasible manner. This means that as far as possible we price each project based on the costs involved in that specific project. We take into account the material costs as well as the workmanship cost to produce the highest quality finished product.
In short: We strive to match the cost to each project fairly, to add exceptional value and to never be expensive.

If installation is not being provided by our team, we recommend that products be collected directly from our workshop, either by the client or by the glazing company/contractor responsible for installation.
However, we can arrange nationwide shipping of finished products when required. Please note that transporting glass involves inherent risks and necessitates specialized packaging beyond standard requirements. Despite these measures, some risk remains during transit.
